JWD InfoLogistics Public Company Limited (JWD) raises the bar once again in the cold chain logistics business following the success as one of a very few operators to receive GSDP certification for the storage and transport of drugs and pharmaceutical cargo. This development presents an opportunity to expand the customer base in response to the increasing demand resulting from the current health trend and the country's transformation into the "aged society" in 2023. The Company is also in the process of applying for the ISO 23412 certification to continuously elevate the service capabilities.

Mr. Charvanin Bundikitsada, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer of JWD Pcl. (JWD), ASEAN's recognized expert in logistics and supply chain, revealed that the JWD Group has further advanced the Company's service standards in cold chain logistics (temperature-controlled storage and transport), which is a business segment that requires specialized expertise and high standard, by being awarded the World Health Organization (WHO)'s Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP) certification. This distinction is crucial to the eventual business expansion to cover the provision of cold chain logistics services to customers in the drugs and pharmaceutical segment by enhancing customers' confidence that all related processes have been suitably certified.

For a cold chain logistics service provider to be awarded the WHO's GSDP standard certification, a company must have already passed three types of certification standards, namely, ISO 9000, Q Mark (truck-bound transport service standard), and Q Cold Chain (temperature-controlled transport of agricultural and food service standard). Thus, at present very few temperature-controlled logistics service providers in the market have received this important certification.

The GSDP recognition presents the opportunity for the JWD Group to expand its customer base in the drugs and pharmaceutical segment, particularly the provision of services to market leaders who require a high standard in the cold chain logistics services in response to the growing market demand as a result of the growing health trend and Thailand's transformation into the "aged society". From the middle of 2021 until today, the Company was able to expand the number of cold chain logistics customers in the drugs and pharmaceutical segment from seven to 12. These services include the storage and transport of medical equipment, BOTOX, etc. It is expected that in 2023 the revenue realized from the current customers as well as additional ones will steadily increase by more than 30 percent.

"We see the growth opportunity from the expansion of the cold chain logistics customer base for drugs and pharmaceutical products where demand is still high along with the specific requirement for an expert and highly certified service provider. Therefore, the GSDP certification presents an opportunity to expand our customer base. Also, the JWD Group will continue to improve our services. In 2023, we will apply for ISO 23412 certification which is a standard involving cold chain logistics services that covers many other requirements at an even higher level of standards, such as the temperature monitoring process to maintain product quality and safety, scope of service, scheduling and routing of transport vehicles, etc., so we can continuously enhance our service capabilities," Mr. Charvanin added.
