Currently, the New MG plant is under the design phase, where state-of-the-art equipment, machinery and assembly lines will be installed within one of the most modern plants of its kind, with industry leading ergonomics for the most efficient work environment for employees. Upon completion, the New MG plant will become MG's Southeast Asia manufacturing hub for distribution in the both the Thai market and overseas.

The new MG plant will be built on 437.5 rai (70 hectares or 173 acres) of land in the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 2 in the Chon Buri district to replace the existing 17,280 sqm facility with the first production run having starting in early 2014.
