Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. yesterday received the Thailand Automotive Quality Award 2017 for 'Outstanding Brand Image for Environmental Friendly,' reinforcing the company's global leadership position in the electrification and EV space.

Mr. Peter Galli, Vice President of Communications at Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd., accepted the award from Dr. Somchai Harnhirun, Chair of Ceremony and Deputy Minister of Industry at an event at Impact Muang Thong Thani.

"As concerns about air quality and the environment grow, innovative Nissan solutions like e-POWER, and EVs like the Leaf, are essential to a smart, clean and sustainable driving future, without compromising affordability or driving pleasure," he added.

Nissan Motor (Thailand)'s commitment to being environmentally friendly is also clearly reflected through its continuous product development that includes a diverse range of fuel efficient vehicles like the Nissan Note, March, and Almera.

"In addition, we recently announced our plan to bring the new Leaf to Thailand, the first company to announce its intent to deliver a mainstream zero-emission Intelligent Electric Vehicle locally. This is part of our strategy to continue providing 'Innovation that Excites' to our valued customers here in Thailand," Mr. Galli said.
