LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has boosted its leadership in the home appliances market with the third year of its successful Health Plus campaign. This year’s concept of ‘Green Health Plus’ features eco-friendly, energy-efficient and healthy living home appliances, providing the perfect solutions to match the requirements of all consumers.

Mr. Alongkorn Chujit, Deputy Managing Director of LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said “As a world-leading brand in the market, LG’s vision is to enrich consumers’ lives through advanced innovation with stylish design. Our products are well matched with the needs of Asian and Thai consumers, and LG has been recognized by GFK as Asia’s Number 1 in washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves and air-conditioner sales.”

To emphasize LG’s leadership in the home appliances market and to continue the success of the Health Plus campaign launched in 2009, this year LG proudly presents a campaign with the theme ‘Green Health Plus’, featuring healthy living, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly home appliances for consumers.

“The Green Health Plus campaign harmonizes with the ‘LG Green 2020’ policy from LG headquarters, which focuses on product innovation and operations to preserve the environment under 3 main strategies, including sustainability development, responsibility to society, and ability to answer the requirements of consumers. LG is very confident that the perfection of LG Green Health Plus products are well matched to the requirements of all consumers, and expand our leadership in the home appliances market,” Mr. Alongkorn added.

The LG Green Health Plus collection includes the ‘Inverter Linear Compressor Refrigerator’, which is equipped with Inverter Linear Compressor technology to keep energy consumption to a minimum, saving up to 41%, and extending the life span of the compressor. It also includes the ‘6 Motion Inverter Direct Drive Washing Machine’, which is the world’s first washing machine featuring 6 washing cycles for a superior and gentler wash, as if clothes were washed by hand. In addition, the collection includes the ‘SolarDom Microwave’, which uses Halogen technology to cook up to four times faster, while saving energy by 50% and minimizing fat and cholesterol, the ‘Sani Punch Vacuum Cleaner’, featuring 3,000 hits per minute onto the surface to eliminate up to 80% of dust and allergens, and the ‘Inverter V 4D air conditioner’, with 4D Healthy System technology for superior protection far beyond general inverter systems and energy savings of up to 60%.

Mr. Rapee Srisunthorn, Product Group Head, Home Appliances of LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said “LG places strong importance on research and development to create products that perfectly fit with consumers. We have 48 R&D centres around the world to analyse the requirements and problems of users, and to develop new innovations to solve them. Products under the LG Green Health Plus campaign demonstrate LG’s effort to create perfect technology for consumers.

“To promote the LG Green Health Plus campaign, LG has dedicated a marketing budget of 640 million baht. This will cover marketing initiatives to create 20% sales growth for LG’s Home Appliances and Air-Conditioner business units, above 2010 levels. We are very confident that the LG Green Health Plus campaign will be widely accepted by consumers and help us to extend our leadership position in the home appliances market, both in Asia and Thailand.”
