BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 will launch its premier event in Thailand between 25th and 26th September, 2008. Held at IMPACT, the two day Exhibition & Conference will provide answers and solutions for Asia’s Facilities & Assets Owners in tackling today’s challenging economy.

Asia biggest concern for businesses in today’s challenging world is both inflation and the slowing economic growth. Soaring energy prices and lower export volumes have pushed inflation rate to a forecast of 3.6 percent1 and growth to slow down to 3.7 percent1 for 2008. Southeast Asia suffered a projected inflation rate for 2008 at 6.2 percent2, up from 3.2 percent last year2 and Thailand's overall economy is suffering from a combination of extended political uncertainty, volatile oil prices, declining consumption, and higher inflation rates of 8.9%3.In these challenging times, business operators are facing mounting tasks to achieve their projected revenues and net profits. Companies need to look for answers and solutions to improve their business processes and operation efficiency to ensure projected profits are achievable by optimising operating costs.

BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 will provide business operators with many answers and solutions in these challenging times. “When the road ahead gets tough, most business operators will start to look for solutions to improve their business processes, cost effectiveness and operation efficiency. Some have already resorted to the easier way by simply tightening their operating, marketing and human resource budget without full understanding what needs to be done. Some of these companies will fail to ride out the economic storms. Good knowledge of facility management is crucial in times like this. I believe the facility management industry in Asia, especially in Thailand where good facility management practice is just starting, will have a positive outcome amidst these difficult times.” said Mr Loy Joon How, General Manager of IMPACT Management & Exhibition Co Ltd and the organiser of BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008.

Mr Chaiyot Piyawannarat, President and Country Manager of ABB Ltd, a leader in power and automation technologies and an exhibitor of BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 reaffirms Mr Loy’s sentiments. “The economy ahead is becoming more challenging and operating costs are a major focus. We are committed to provide our customers with products, services and sustainable solutions that help increase productivity, make them more competitive while lowering the environmental impact of industrial operations.

“There are various ways of communicating and updating ABB technology, one of them is our customer magazine in Thai “ABB in Brief”, which shows ABB products, energy efficiency and reliability in improving productivity eg drives, motors, low voltage switch gear, instrumentation and analytical and circuit breaker. BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 provides us with the perfect marketing platform to deliver our message. We are eager to expand our presence to the various industries through our technology leadership, quality and services. We are confident that BMAM Expo Asia 2008 will be a resounding success,” Mr Chaiyot added.

BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 has over 100 exhibitors to showcase solutions, technologies, products and services for business operators across Asia. Some of the key exhibitors are Sodexho (France), ISS Facility Services, Robert Bosch, PCS, Chubb, ABB, Schneider Electric, Carrier, to name a few.

“Improving Business Processes, Cost Effectiveness, Sustainability and Operation Efficiency in today’s challenging economy” is the theme for the BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 Conference, which has also received overwhelming response with 70 percent of the available 250 delegate seats have been confirmed.

BMAM EXPO ASIA 2008 will be held in Bangkok from the 25th — 26th September, 2008 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center for Trade Professionals. Pre-registration can be done online at www.maintenance-asia.com.
