Building competitiveness for Thailand needs to develop understanding about competition and gather a co-operation among the private sector, while the government should act as a facilitator to boost work efficiency. Thailand Competitiveness Conference 2015 got an honor from both local and foreign experts to suggest ways to increase the country's competitiveness, so that the brilliant ideas will be adjusted to develop the economy and the country in every segment continuously.

Miss Wanweera Rachdawong, Chief Executive Officer of Thailand Management Association, said Thailand Competitiveness Conference 2015 under the "Building Thailand Competitiveness for Sustainability and Inclusiveness" topic has an objective to build understanding and promote sustainable development. This should start from building public understanding about the country's competitiveness, so the knowledge will be transferred and applied with every sector in the society such as the development of human resource and the science technology and innovation.

This conference will also provide opportunities for those working in related fields to know about proper ways to develop competitiveness in major business sectors such as agriculture, food and tourism. Public and private sectors should work together to be a role model to develop the industries.

"Meanwhile, the experts and academics from both leading local and international organizations will attend this conference such as Prof Arturo Bris, director of IMD World Competitiveness Center, Mr Henri Kuokkanen from Glion Institute of Higher Education, one of the world's top three graduate schools, Dr Prasarn Trairatvorakul, governor of Bank of Thailand, and Deputy Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, who will give a perspective on developing a rapid economic growth for Thailand and competing with neighboring countries. Also at the forum are Mr Ariya Banomyong, Country Business Manager of Google Thailand and Mr Asada Harinsuit, Chairman of The Shell Company of Thailand, who will give their viewpoints and opinions how Thailand will develop competitiveness and strength to compete in the international arena".

Miss Wanweera said the forum will give the best practices from countries which have successfully enhanced their competitiveness and share knowledge and lessons learned as well as the current global situation, so both private and public sectors can bring new information and knowledge to apply when outlining measures to develop competitiveness for their organizations and for the country.

Participants from all sectors at the conference agree that the cooperation from the private sector will lead the country's economic development while the government will support and facilitate the private sector for efficient work.

"During the past years, TMA has a strong determination to push for the country to develop its competitiveness and the continuing development on Thai executive management skills will help drive the country to achieve the goal. TMA is now in a process to establish TMA Leadership Development Center to enhance executive skills in all levels for both of private sector and public sector as well as be a center to develop Thai executives to compete with their peers in international levels by transferring knowledge and sharing experience from global experts," Miss Wanweera said.
