SET President Kesara Manchusree said that in 2015, the Thai capital market has been growing steadily in several dimensions with average daily trading value of THB 45,190.32 million (as of end of October), considered highest in ASEAN, while the number of investor accounts increased by 131,838 accounts year-to-date (as of September), or a 11.20 percent increase from the end-2014. In the past 3-5 years, the number of investors has increased considerably and investment become more and more popular, resulting from the fact that Thailand is an aging society. Consequently, people have put more emphasis on financial planning to build wealth, create financial freedom, aiming to live comfortably after retirement.
In the digital and urbanization era with modern technology, the pace of the people's lifestyle is dynamic, while there is a borderless communications, greater consumption and healthy trends, and high demand for financial plan for stability of life. As such, the demand for long-term financial plan is here to stay.
