PHILIP MORRIS THAILAND’S STATEMENT

Thursday 26 November 2015 14:37
26 Nov 2015 - On Nov 24th, the Public Prosecutor informed Philip Morris (Thailand) Limited (PMTL) that the authorized representative of the company has to report to the Public Prosecutor within 3 days. As a company who has cooperated fully with all relevant authorities, our branch manager, Mr. Troy Modlin took immediate steps to comply with the Public Prosecutor's order. He returned to Bangkok as soon as he can and reported to the Public Prosecutor office on Nov 25th afternoon. His presence was acknowledged by the Public Prosecutor's office that afternoon.

As a company who has operated in Thailand for almost 25 years and strongly believe that we have done nothing wrong, PMTL remains hopeful that the current government will conduct a fair review on the case and honor its public assurances to the Philippines and the international trade community that it will act consistently with its World Trade Organization obligations.
