SSI certified for anti-corruption practices by CAC

Sahaviriya Steel Industries PLC or "SSI" has been certified by the Private Sector Collective Action Coalition against Corruption (CAC) for its full compliance to anti-corruption guidelines, after completed self-evaluation tools for countering bribery which comply all the guidelines of CAC. The certification is valid for 3 years.

SSI is committed to conducting its business under the principles of good corporate governance, and recognized that corruption is harmful and causes great damage to organisations and ultimately serves as a serious drag on a nation's wealth. So, the company signed a declaration of intent in view of establishing Thailand's Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption in 2013 in order to implement business principles to counter corruption in all its forms for sustainable development.

Thailand's Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption project started through the cooperation of the Thai IOD, TCC and Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce (JFCCT) is now supported by a total of seven leading private sector partner organizations, also including the Listed Companies Association, Thai Bankers' Association, Federation of the Thai Capital Market Organizations, Federation of Thai Industries and Tourism Council of Thailand. The project has also received since its inception the full support of the US-based Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE).
