SET discloses SET indices semi-annual review results for first half of 2017

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has announced the semi-annual index review results for the SET50, SET100 and SETHD indices to be used in the first half of 2017 (Jan 1-Jun 30). There will be five additions to SET50 Index, eightadditions to SET100 Index and three additions to SETHD Index.

SET50 Index (SET50): five companies to be added as index constituents are Siam Global House pcl (GLOBAL), Kiatnakin Bank pcl (KKP), PTG Energy pcl (PTG), Star Petroleum Refining pcl (SPRC) and Thai Airways International pcl (THAI), resulting in a combined market cap of the SET50 Index worth THB 9.28 trillion, accounting for 63 percent of the total SET's market cap (as of Nov 30, 2016).

SET100 Index (SET100): There will be eight additions to the index, namely Big Camera Corporation pcl (BIG), Karmarts pcl (KAMART), Scan Inter pcl (SCN), Star Petroleum Refining pcl (SPRC), Superblock pcl (SUPER), Ratchthani Leasing pcl (THANI), Taokaenoi Food & Marketing pcl (TKN) and Vibhavadi Medical Center pcl (VIBHA), resulting in a combined market cap of the SET100 Index worth THB 10.60 trillion, accounting for 72 percent of the total SET's market cap (as of Nov 30, 2016).

SET High Dividend Index (SETHD): three companies will be added to the index, consisting of Ratchthani Leasing pcl (THANI), Thaicom pcl (THCOM) and TMB Bank pcl (TMB),resulting in an average dividend yield of 4.60 percent, higher than SET's average dividend yield of 3.10 percent (as of Nov 30, 2016).

Meanwhile, Pruksa Real Estate pcl (PS), which is included in the components of SET50 Index, SET100 Index and SETHD Index and will be used for the calculation in the first half of 2017, has been changed to Pruksa Holding pcl (PSH), a newly established holding companyinvesting in PS. Therefore SET will use PSH to replace PS in such calculation of SET50 Index, SET100 Index and SETHD Index.
