Course Overview

This training is intended for those who are interested in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The training comprises of both theory and practical. Hand-on laboratories are provided in this training by using Java Web Services and other approaches to implement SOA. In this training, attendees will know how to implement EAI and SOA projects using practical tools such as; NetBeans and Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suites (Java CAPS).

Course Audience

- Analysts, strategists, software architects and anyone seeking a technical understanding of SOA.

- Attendee should be responsible for development division in the organization focusing on SOA, ESB or EAI.

- Attendee should have a good background in OOP (such as Java or C#)

Day 1

Theory:

- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)

- Services and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)

- Web Services

Workshop:

- Create Services from the business process description

- Implement Web Services Client: Calling Existing Web Services

- Implement Web Services Provider

- Implements RESTful Web Services

Day 2

Theory:

- Business Process Execution Language (BPEL)

- Business Process Management (BPM)

Workshop:

- Generating BPEL scripts to implement agile business logic

- Case Study on Order Processing System

Day 3

Theory:

- SOA Tools: Technical Overview

Workshop:

- Installing / Using Java CAPS 5.1 as a SOA platform

- Enterprise Application Integration (Connect Resource Layer) using ESB (eGate)

- Develop First Business Process

- Business Process With Database Connection

- Develop Business Process Calling External Web Services

- Flow Control Activities in BPEL

- Exception Handler in BPEL

- Create a new technical service using Java programming

- Create a Web Page as an access Layer
