Sixty-five Outrigger Resorts staff and senior executives from around the world helped Ban Bang Rong Primary School in northeast Phuket on 12 September. The hoteliers, many from around the world, including Outrigger head office in Hawaii, planted vegetables in the school garden, painted the toilets and canteen, re-arranged the library, and donated a DVD player and educational games to the school. Engineers from the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort will also fix the school's plumbing and water supply. David Carey, Outrigger CEO, said that Outrigger's commitment to the school was for the long term. Outrigger staff were attending an internal company conference 9-12 September at the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort, entitled, "Good to Great."
