AirAsia Flies QPR Coaches for Youth Camp Search for New Star to Train with Team in England

AirAsia, as a major official sponsor of the popular Queens Park Rangers (QPR) Football Club, flew the team's staff and coach to Thailand for the first stop of the AirAsia QPR Coaching Clinic Tour 2014 set to travel across Asia and provide new skills and training to 12-14 year old footballers as well as to find a budding star who will travel to the QPR training camp next year.

Mr. Soo Sann Yinn, Corporate Communications Assistant Manager for Sport and Event of Thai AirAsia, made known that AirAsia has given importance to continually facilitating new experiences in the realm of sports, especially for youngsters in the hope of inspiring future athletes. As the AirAsia Group is an official sponsor of the famed QPR club, the special activity “AirAsia QPR Coaching Clinic Tour 2014” was organized. The happening is aimed at fostering football skills among Thai youths, as Thailand is the clinic’s first stop before an Asia-wide tour.

“The activity will see 60 12-14 year olds from a variety of Thai Premier League football camps, such as SCG-Muang Thong United, Chonburi FC, BEC Tero Sasana and Customs United. The youngsters will play every position on the field and go through an entire day of intensive training overseen by the QPR Coaching Staff. The session will also serve as a chance for one budding star to travel to experience the QPR Youth Training Camp in England next year” Mr. Soo Sann Yinn explained.

The AirAsia QPR Coaching Clinic tour 2014 will be headed by Mr. Andy Evans, CEO of the QPR Coach Team. The clinic will stop in 5 AirAsia destinations, namely; Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Beijing and Kota Kinabalu for training and to search for star players. The first clinic takes place in Thailand on Thursday, 13 November at the Grand Soccer Pro Kaset Navamin pitch.
