DHL Express, the world's leading international express service provider, has been named “Aon Hewitt 2014 Top MNC for Leaders in Southeast Asia” by Aon Hewitt, the global talent, retirement and health solutions business in its 2014 Top Companies for Leaders Study[1]. A panel of judges assessing MNCs in Southeast Asia examined how organizations assess, select, develop and reward their leaders and also how they set and execute their leadership practices for each leadership level. As a result of their assessment, the panel’s votes went to DHL Express for its dedication to developing and nurturing leaders from within the organization.

Yasmin Aladad Khan, Senior Vice President, DHL Express South East Asia and South Asia said, “We are very proud of DHL Thailand for the recognition they have received from Aon Hewitt. As an organization we are committed to facilitating the professional development of all our managers; and the team in Thailand has proven their talent management practices are certainly best-in-class.”

She continued, “People are our greatest assets. We need to continue to invest in them, help them with career advancement, and in return, we would like our employees believe that DHL is a great company to work for.”

Conducted since 2001, the Aon Hewitt Top Companies for Leaders study is a comprehensive, longitudinal analysis of talent management and leadership practices of organizations around the world. This year's winners were selected and ranked by an expert panel of independent judges based on a number of criteria, including strength of leadership practices and culture, examples of leader development on a global scale, alignment of business and leadership strategy, company reputation, business and financial performance.

“We are delighted to receive this recognition -- it’s testament to the team’s efforts and success in becoming an employer of choice. DHL Express takes leadership development for existing and future leaders very seriously. We implement numerous leadership development programs to facilitate learning and career progression for both leaders and high potential colleagues,” said Chananyarak Phetcharat, Managing Director, DHL Express Thailand and Indochina. “With a rapidly changing economic landscape where competition is intense, we aim to stay ahead of the curve by equipping our leaders with essential knowledge and skills, through extensive coaching and training programs, to ensure they will become successful 21st century managers.”

DHL has invested significantly in its leaders with the award-winning program, Certified International Manager (CIM) - a course designed to create a team of DHL Express managers who are inspired and capable of delivering successful 21st Century Managers. By offering them attractive development opportunities tailored to who they are, the employees remain committed and motivated members of our workforce. At the same time, DHL progresses towards the goal of becoming Employer of Choice, and ensure the success of its business over the long term.

“In today’s complex and unpredictable business landscape, Top Companies for Leaders are passionate about cultivating resilient and engaging leaders who take the time to know and develop their talent and understand what experiences they need to rise above the rest,” said Global Talent practice leader, Aon Hewitt. Jeremy Andrulis, Chief Executive Office of Aon Hewitt Southeast Asia added: “We congratulate DHL Express in Thailand for their remarkable commitment to building and growing a strong leadership environment and developing a stellar international management programme that is bearing fruit both in terms of business results and human capital management.”
