The azbil Group is strengthening its production, procurement, and logistics structures on a global scale, as global markets expand and Japan-based customers shift production overseas. Operation of a new factory in Thailand is part of azbil’s global production initiative. By decentralizing production functions globally such as in Japan, China, and Thailand, while building a development and production structure capable of providing products suited to the characteristics of each region, the Group aims to achieve competitive quality, cost, and delivery (QCD).
Azbil Production (Thailand) was established in February 2013 and began manufacturing digital indicating controllers in July 2013 in a leased factory located in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Phase 2. Construction of a new factory in Phase 10 of the same industrial estate began in March 2014 and was completed in November. It has already obtained ISO 9000 certification for quality management systems. The factory site area is approximately 20,000m² and the total floor area (including an administration building) is about 7,800m². The new factory will start with production of digital indicating controllers; from 2015 onwards it plans to steadily add to its line of produced items, including HVAC controllers and photoelectric sensors.
Azbil (Thailand) Co., Ltd., another azbil Group company in Thailand, provides sales, engineering, installation, and maintenance of industrial and building automation products. With the start of operations of the new factory in Thailand, our local manufacturing and sales personnel will make a greater and concerted effort to actively propose to customers on-site solutions representing the azbil Group’s strengths, such as maintenance service and energy management, and thereby contribute to the region.
Yamatake Corporation changed its name to Azbil Corporation.
