Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas recently held an Elephant Educational Children's Day in the heart of Bangkok's 'green lung', Lumpini Park in conjunction with the world's largest open air art exhibition - Elephant Parade Bangkok 2015. Representatives from Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF), Freeland Foundation, Mahidol University, The Division of Biological and Natural Resource Sciences, Wild Elephant Lover Club, Thai Elephant Therapy Project and WildAid presented a wide range of conservation related games, activities and talks to almost one thousand local school children, teaching them the importance of elephant conservation in Thailand.

Elephant Parade Bangkok features 88 brightly colored, 1.5 meter elephant statues which have been painted by local and international artists, such as designer Paul Smith, supermodel Sirinya Bishop and actor Tony Jaa and have been paraded around main tourist areas of Bangkok since December. On February 17th they will be auctioned off with the proceeds being donated to a number of charities that will benefit elephant welfare worldwide.
