Comico Thailand, a popular Japanese comic application and online community for Thai comic lovers, is encouraging budding wordsmiths to join an exciting comic-writing competition, "Comico New Blood Contest," as part of a program to search for rising-star comic writers. Comico wants Thai comic writers who are fresh to the scene to become one of Comico's regular comic writers. Contestants will also have a chance to win a phenomenal grand prize totalling 100,000 baht and professional support in tapping into the international comic writing market, together with a guarantee from Comico to publish their work in Comico Thailand, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Do not miss this chance and be sure to submit your application before August 30, 2016. Comico will announce the winners on October 17, 2016. For more details, please visit

The Comico team will select the best-qualified and most appropriate content before sharing it through official Comico channels, including the app and website. Readers will then be able to judge for themselves by clicking 'like' on their favourite comics, choosing the final 40 contestants. A panel of comic experts will then determine the winners.

The Comico New Blood Contest awards include:
A "Gold Medal Writer" award consisting of a 100,000-baht cash prize, and having Comico Thailand, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan publish their work.
