CPF sets to showcase innovative foods leadership in THAIFEX 2018

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company (CPF) will exhibit diverse innovative foods and unveil "Cullineur" a world-class cooking schools, at a top regional food fair, "THAIFEX 2018," which to be held at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, from May 29 to June 2.

Mr.Sukhawat Dansermsuk, CPF's Chief Executive Officer (CEO)-Food Business and Co-President said CPF continuously attends the well-known international food fair "THAIFEX" together with over 2,000 exhibitors to promote Thai food and beverage to customers worldwide. This year, CPF plans to focus on innovative foods and ready meal products to response the global trends of grey society and health-conscious consumers with the theme "Every Mouthful is Meaningful" on a 378 sq.m., the largest booth area to be located in IMPACT exhibition hall 8.

Chargrilled Chicken Fillet is one of CPF's innovative selection to showcase in CPF booth this year. It is made from chicken breast grilled with charcoal for exporting to British customers as a chilled snack under brand "Taste Inc." This snack was accredited at the global trade fair Anuga 2017, held in Cologne, Germany last year as the food innovation that addresses consumers' search for safe and convenience food.

"Smart Soup" is another innovative product that CPF's R&D develop to perfectly meet the needs of the elderly. This soup, which plan to be on shelf within 2018, is produced with aseptic technology which keep natural taste and favors of pumpkin, purple sweet potato, spinach and broccoli.

Several range of functional foods and drinks are exhibit at the fair including vegetarian ready meal under named "Smart Meal", variety of functional drinks and low calorie meals under brand "CP Delight", etc.

"People and business partners around the world will meet our innovative products answering a diverse customer behaviors. We also plan to welcome them with special drink and snack prepared by professional chef from our new food art school," said Sukhawat.

At this event, CPF also introduces the newly-established school of Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship titled "Culineur". The school is collaboration between CPF and Lausanne Hospitality Consulting (LHC) from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland. It is a comprehensive culinary institution that cultivate world-class chefs and professionals along with business management skills. The school will be open for the first time application at the fair.

The school establishment aims to develop new-generation of startups and human resources for the industry and also help protect the country's invaluable food wisdom in the long run.
