IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that Pathumthani-based BM Quality Foods, a leading Thai manufacturer of premium food products, will implement IFS Applications? to strengthen its leading position and expand its business to other markets.

BM Quality Food will implement the newly released IFS Applications 8 to capture the powerful new and enhanced features for inventory planning, shop order, and warehousing. The implemented IFS solution includes IFS Enterprise Explorer (IEE) user interface as a standard part of the solution. The interface is based on the latest usability research and offers many intuitive features for filtering, searching and navigating data in order to suit each individual role and competency within a company.

“The implementation of IFS Applications is yet another step in BM Quality Food’s strategy for strengthening our leading position in the premium segment and accelerating the technological development of our production facility,” said BM Quality Food Managing Director, Mr. Sooksawas Harnsawas. “The use of IFS Applications throughout the organization will be an important stage in the company’s development. It will help us to streamline business processes and thus increase our competitiveness, which we hope will help us expand our business to other markets. IFS Applications give us access to information that will help us determine and evaluate our business processes as we work towards our goal of being a leading food producer in Thailand.”

The implementation has already commenced and will be rolled out in a multi-phased approach to support the company’s on-going business operations. IFS Applications 8 will improve strategic business processes in areas such as production planning, purchasing, sales, distribution, financials and CRM. It will enable integration of business areas throughout the company, ensuring optimized productivity in all processes. IFS Applications 8 supports efficient cost management and speedy access to business data throughout all operational areas, improving the company’s decision-making processes. In addition to improved purchasing and cost planning processes, the system also enables report generation and precise analyses based on information that was unavailable in the company’s previous system.

“We are implementing the most advanced solution on the market that is best suited to our business,” said Mr. Sooksawas Harnsawas. “IFS Applications 8 will enable us to introduce new and more efficient business management practices that will ultimately help us to streamline business operations and achieve our business goals. We are already benefiting from its first effects; we have seen greater efficiencies in work processes as all business units have access to the same information at the same time, enabling better decision making. In the long run, we want the system to facilitate our strategic processes such as planning, monitoring and analysis.”

“The food and beverage industry is one of IFS’s key focus markets where we have already seen a great need for an integrated ERP solution to support business operations and growth,” said Sridharan Arumugam, Vice President, South East Asia of IFS Solutions Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. “BM Quality Foods realised it needed a robust and agile ERP system to enhance productivity and manage operations more effectively.
