Allied Telesis Announces Channel Changes Along With Additional Focus

Focus on Smart Cities sees new distributor appointed along with increased focus and IP surveillance business

Allied Telesis, a recognized innovator of smart technologies for an information-driven world, today unveiled its local Ecosystem Partner Strategy to focus on IP surveillance business. Along with the increased focus on IP surveillance business, the organization also announced the appointment of Digitalcom as a new distributor to assist with the organizations Smart Cities initiative.

The Ecosystem Partner Strategy is a business direction for Allied Telesis across the Asia Pacific region to deliver comprehensive and effective IP surveillance system to the channel and end users. This segment across the region is projected to enjoy an annual growth rate exceeding 20% with market value of 60 billion baht by the year 2020. For Thailand, the IP surveillance segment will continue to grow in both the government and private sector, particularly in the public transportation and street surveillance sectors which will grow significantly over the next 5 to10 years.

In addition to the Ecosystem Partner Strategy, Allied Telesis has announced the appointment of Digitalcom Co. Ltd. as a new distributor to service the IP surveillance and Smart City segments. Digitalcom is a leading provider of IP surveillance solutions in Thailand and specializes in IT and security products.

Teerayut continued, “Today, Allied Telesis is ranked number three in the switch market in Thailand and we project revenue growth of around 30% this year. The overall network market is expected to grow by around10 % with a value of around USD250 million or 7.5 billion baht.”
