Dentsu media drums in innovative technology “dmLab” at CES Asia 2016 in Shanghai, China

Dentsu media, a leading media agency is set to showcase Dentsu media Laboratory or dmLab, a global top-notch technology development and innovation to manifest itself as a technological capability. Dentsu media joins hand with Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) and leading partnered corporations participating CES Asia 2016, a global event that exhibits consumer technology and electronic industry. The event takes place on 11th -13 rd May in Shanghai, China. The event is expected to welcome more than 30,000 participants.

For this year, the theme of the presentation is "Empower Extended Self" as it portrays a combination of technology and creativity to bring about greater breakthrough technologies. The booth is expected to inspire participants and create understanding on the rapid pace of revolutions in the digital world. Besides, it also recommends applications of technology to enhance business competitiveness and increase potential growth sustainably.

Mr. Mitsuyuki Nakamura, Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu media Thailand and President of Dentsu media Southeast Asia cited the participation in the event CES Asia 2016 as an excellent opportunity to hammer in the capability of its leadership of digital development in Asia Pacific.

Mr. Nakamura said the Dentsu media has foreseen the accelerating change, and it requires a commitment to innovation. He revealed, "We are getting a head start in innovation to speed up the advancement of technology and new ideas. We are bringing our cutting-edge business section to develop a strong branding,"

Mr. Nakamura also emphasizes the importance of "Dentsu media Laboratory" or "dmLab" saying it is designed to support and promote the new technologies.

Mr. Nakamura said "dmLab" is evidence of its leadership in technology and innovations, "Dentsu media is the leader and trendsetter in integration of innovation and technology. It helps forecast trends of digital innovation in the next 3-5 years effectively,"

Furthermore, Dentsu media is determined to introduce "dmLab" and present the concept of physical technology and network connectivity known as "Internet of Things" (IoT) such as Virtual Reality (VR), Wearable, Self-Creation, and Commoditizing Sensorization in the event.

One of the 2016 highlights from dmLab is cooperating with 'touch.plus' (Touch-dot-Plus) to introduce TABO, the world's first-tiny autonomous robot designed for iPad Pro, which synchronizes itself with the touch screen to be an educational tool or life entertainer at the Global Stage in CES Asia 2016.

TABO is developed by "touch.plus", a joint project of Bascule Inc. and Progress Technologies Inc. This robot is aimed to leverage technology to create new experiences and bring real communication between consumers and digital technology. This is to connect innovation and consumers to achieve the fullest effectiveness.

Mr. Norasit Sitivechvichit, Executive Director of Digital Business, Dentsu media Thailand, said that the network has collaborated with world-class experts to originate and develop the finest technology that users can apply in daily life.

Dentsu media Thailand has officially announced "Dentsu media Laboratory" or "dmLab" in Thailand. Thailand is the first country in Southeast Asia to launch pilot projects on dmLab. Plans for business expansion of dmLab are underway. The works of dmLab in Thailand are still under development, and it is expected to officially be launched soon, Mr. Norasit concluded.
