Best Western International (BWI) honors Pt. Bangun Wahana Indah Indonesia, the designated Best Western area development office in Indonesia, with an award of excellence for its outstanding performance in 2008.

Jusuf Sawirin, who represents the Indonesia area development office as managing director, also receives recognition for his outstanding contribution of spearheading much of the development in the country.

The awarding ceremony, held in Bangkok, was attended by BWI Vice President for International Operations — Asia Glenn de Souza, Sawirin and Iwanto Hartojo of PBWII.

“We give special recognition to our partners in Indonesia for this remarkable performance as they have greatly contributed to the advancement of the company in the region,” said de Souza.

Pt. Bangun Wahana Indah was appointed area development office for Best Western in 2007. In less than a year, it was able sign ten hotels. Projects underway for 2009 and 2010 opening are: BW New Kuta Condotel, Bali in February 2009; BW Mangga Dua Jakarta in April 2009; BW Premier Kuta in April 2009; BW Premier Solo in April 2009; and BW Grand Seminyak in 2010.
