On the evening of October 26, 2013, Pattaya Exhibition and Convention hall (PEACH) was abuzz with around 600 reporters after a successful “Eco-tourism” Rally by the Economic Reporters Association of Thailand. This event, attended by the country’s largest newspapers including Bangkok Post and The Nation, brought reporters together to raise environmental consciousness and public awareness regarding the benefits of promoting ecotourism and to strengthen familial and professional relationships for the participants.

Kicking off from Bangkok, the annual car rally covered a total of 150 kilometers traversing through a beautiful scenic route of coastal areas to the Pattaya Floating Market and ultimately ended in the luxurious Royal Cliff Hotels Group in Pattaya, Chonburi.

To culminate a successful event, participants had a fun “Retro Sixties” themed dinner party at the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH), featuring a wild assortment of fun and games including shooting, football, ring toss and a highly anticipated lucky draw awarding a lot of exciting prizes. It was a memorable night filled with live entertainment by Thailand’s top artists from RS and GMM Grammy including an act from popular actor Saksith Tangthong. Accommodations for the participants were at the vibrant Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, located in the heart of Royal Cliff Hotels Group.

“Royal Cliff Hotels Group and PEACH are honored to host once again such an amazing event that promotes sustainable tourism that supports environmental protection.” Mr. Vitanart Vathanakul, Executive Director of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group said. “Environment-friendly PEACH has the state of the art facilities available to accommodate more entertainment, more guests, and more excitement for the event this year. Economic Reporters Association’s President, Mrs. Amornrat Charoonsmith agreed, “Royal Cliff Hotels Group together with PEACH is a perfect venue for our annual rally. As part of its Green Initiatives Program, Royal Cliff Hotels Group’s Executive Director, Mr. Vitanart Vathanakul presented the hotel group’s tree planting certificate to Mrs. Amornrat Charoonsmith, President of the Economic Reporters Association of Thailand. Reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation excellence, Royal Cliff has an exciting tree planting program where Flame trees would be planted in various vital locations on behalf of the companies who select PEACH as the venue for their events.
