Transponder Leases and Indochina Investments Support Revenue Growth

Shin Satellite Public Company Limited (SATTEL) reported sales and service revenue of Baht 1,398 million for the third quarter of 2005 (Q3/2005) and net profit of Baht 145 million. The Company had revenues from Thaicom of Baht 641million; IPSTAR service revenue was Baht 231 million this quarter, an increase of Baht 183 million or 381.3% compared to Baht 48 million in Q3/2004. The Company views this as an indicator of the potential for stronger growth following the launch of IPSTAR on August 11. Revenue from the Internet business in Q3/2005 was Baht 15 million, down slightly from Baht 18 million in Q3/2004 and unchanged from last quarter.
The Company saw revenues from Cambodia and Laos’s rise 30%, to Baht 511 million in Q3/2005, from Baht 393 million in Q3/2004, as prepaid subscriber numbers increased substantially yet again in both countries.
CS Loxinfo Public Company Limited, in which SATTEL indirectly holds 40%, paid a dividend of 0.12 baht for the first half of 2005, or Baht 93 million.
