THAI Serves Thai Desserts During Songkran

In celebration of Songkran Festival and to preserve Thai traditions, promoting Thai heritage with Thai and international passengers, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited will serve Thai desserts on board THAI flights during the Songkran period. During 13-15 April, the following Thai desserts will be served to passengers on board all international flights departing from Bangkok: Thong Aig, Jah Mongkut, Foy Thong, and Sanae Chandra.
Mr. Somchainuk Engtrakul, THAI’s Member of the Board of Directors Acting as President, said that during 13-15 April 2006, THAI Catering is pleased to serve passengers flying THAI international flights departing from Bangkok with traditional Thai meals and desserts in celebration of Thai heritage during the Songkran Festival. Main dishes to be served include Mixed Fruit Somtam and Barbeque Chicken in Pandanus Leaves with Salted Eggs and Thong Aig, Jah Mongkut, Foy Thong, and Sanae Chandra for dessert.
In addition, the airline is introducing Smoked Trout with Cream Cheese Stuffing and Shrimp for passengers traveling in first class, followed by Beef Curry with Eggplant and Mixed Fruit Somtam.
