THAI Hosts “The 51st AAPA Assembly of Presidents” 2007

Admiral Thira Haocharoen, Thailand’s Minister of Transport presided over “The 51st AAPA Assembly of Presidents” with over 150 senior executives, representing members of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines and other international aviation bodies on 15 and 16 November 2007 at Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok.
The two-day meeting, hosted by THAI as Thailand’s national carrier, will be a significant opportunity for the 17 member carriers of AAPA to discuss important issues facing their industry in this, the world’s most rapidly expanding market for air transportation.
The AAPA is a non-profit trade association of 17 major scheduled international airlines based throughout the Asia Pacific region. During 2006, AAPA member carriers transported 285 million passengers and 10 million tons of cargo, representing approximately one fifth of global passenger traffic and one third of global air cargo operations.
