“Life Gets More Rewarding” with New Visa Platinum Privilege Program in Thailand

Visa aims to make its Platinum cardholders’ lives more rewarding under the newly launched Visa Platinum Privilege Program. The program offers a wide range of shopping, travel and medical service privileges in cooperation with the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA), Bangkok Hospital Medical Center and MD Management.
Mr. Somboon Krobteeranon, country manager, Thailand, Visa, said, “Cardholders are becoming more sophisticated, so they need a card that carries exclusive features, privileges and prestige that only the Visa Platinum card can provide. Under the new Visa Platinum Privilege Program we want to extend these exclusive features even further by providing memorable lifestyle experiences to all our Visa Platinum cardholders nationwide.”
Visa Platinum cardholders currently receive benefits and selected offers from retail, dining and travel merchants. They have the convenient option of “buying now and paying later” and enjoy the confidence of having their Visa card accepted at more than 29 million merchants worldwide and one million ATMs.
“The Visa Platinum Privilege Program is one way of showing our appreciation and commitment to our cardholders in providing the lifestyle privileges they desire,” Mr. Krobteeranon said.
Over the next five months, the Visa Platinum Privilege Program will offer a full range of discounts and activities tailored to meet cardholders’ tastes, starting from tomorrow where Visa Platinum cardholders are invited to join a special cocktail party and fashion talk at Gaysorn Shopping Centre.
Cardholders will enjoy discounts of up to forty five percent on selected top end brands at Gaysorn Shopping Centre, CentralWorld, Amarin Plaza and Erawan Bangkok along with exclusive parking and a welcome drink at Gaysorn Shopping Centre. Shoppers can also enjoy extra discounts on top of Visa’s program during the malls’ two major sales scheduled for the 25 - 31 October and 25 — 31 December 2008.

Visa has also teamed up with Bangkok Hospital Medical Center offering an innovative health program in Thailand. This will be the first time Bangkok Hospital Medical Center has teamed up with a partner to offer this health program. Under the Platinum Health Privilege, Bangkok Hospital is offering a free ambulance service, free room upgrades and a buy-one-get-one-free health checkup package. This offer not only covers its four Bangkok branches of Bangkok Hospital Medical Center but extends to Koh Samui, Pattaya, and Hat Yai branches as well.
