Enjoy the Loy Krathong Festival at Baan Laksasubha Resort Hua Hin

On 12th November 2008, Baan Laksasubha Resort Hua Hin invites you and your family to enjoy the Loy Krathong Festival. Costanera Restaurant and Tapas Bar, the resort’s seaside restaurant, will feature Chef Top’s sumptuous signature dishes Yum Som-O (Pamelo Salad Thai Style) and Gaeng Mas-man (Spicy Muslim Curry). Every guest will receive a beautiful Krathong and everyone is invited to join in on the Krathong making competition. The winner will receive a 2,400 baht dinner voucher, The Thai dinner buffet is 1,200 baht per person and dinner for children under 12 is 650 baht per child. As part of the festivity, each guests staying at the resort will receive a sarongs or fisherman pants as a gift during Loy Krathong celebration week.

Well known to Thais and foreigners residing in Thailand, Loy Krathong takes place on the 12th full moon on the Thai lunar calendar. Loy means “to float” and “Krathong” is a lotus shaped vessel crafted from banana leaves. The festival honors the Water Goddess. By the light of the moon, Krathong bearer light joss sticks, candles on the Krathong and makes a wish before setting the Krathong into the body of water. The traditional Thai belief is that the Krathong carry away bad luck and old sins, giving the person a happy and fresh start for the coming New Year.
