The Metropolitan Bangkok’s signature restaurant Cy’an presents a unique opportunity to savour a dinner by the celebrity chef from Australia, Peter Evans, on Saturday 16 May for one night only.

Priced at Baht 2,200++ per person, the 5-course special event dinner starting at 7pm features dishes by guest chef’s dinner who will lead you through his seafood menu creation.

The 5-course dinner starts with tasting plate such as ‘Kingfish belly ‘tartare’ with black bean dressing’ followed by ‘Pepper seared blue fin tuna salad with wakami and ponzu dressing’, ‘Kinkawonka vongole and mussel ‘aqua pazza’ with tomato, garlic, fregola and basil’, ‘Steamed mulloway with sweet potato puree, lime and coconut sauce and crispy shallots’ and ‘Goats curd cheesecake with passionfruit sauce’ for dessert.

A native of Australia, Peter Evans owns five successful restaurants i.e. The Pantry, in Melbourne, Hugo’s in Bondi, Hugos Lounge in Kings Cross, Hugos Bar Pizza and his most recent venture Hugos Manly. His restaurants have gone on to win numerous awards including the SMH coveted “chefs hat” 7 years in a row, “Best Pizza in the World” and “Best Bar in Australia” in late 2005, “best nightclub in Australia in 2007 & 2008” and “best pizza restaurant in Australia in 2008”.

Along with his restaurants Pete has been in front of the camera for the last 8 years as a TV presenter. He appears annually at some of Australia’s most acclaimed food events such as “Tasting Australia” and “The Great Barrier Feast”. He traveled to New York for the G’day USA promotion in 2009 where he cooked at “The Waldorf Astoria” and whilst he was there featured on “The Martha Stewart Show”, “The Rachael Ray Show” as well as the “CBS Early Show”.

Pete has a passion for writing and his first book “Fish”, a collection of over 130 fish and seafood recipes from Australian and New Zealand species, is currently up to its 4th reprint. Pete also writes for the Australian Womens Weekly along with being a contributor for Selector magazine.
