Toyo-Thai teams up with KOMIPO, a South Korean Power Giant and Nava Nakorn Land to capture Power Plant EPC and Management opportunities locally and overseas.

Khun Kobchai Thanasukarn, General Manager— Finance and Investor Relations of Toyo-Thai Corporation Plc (TTCL), Thailand’s only All-round Integrated EPC Contractor, says “As TTCL aims to expand both international and local businesses, we have achieved strong results and won several large projects internationally in the second half this year. Today, it’s our pleasure to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with new international business partners, Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. (KOMIPO) and Nava Nakorn Land (NLD), to work together in exploring business opportunities and collaboration relating to Power business in Thailand and international markets.

Khun Kobchai adds that “KOMIPO is a leading international Power firm, specialized in Operation and Maintenance the Power plants and industrial plants and technical consulting. They also have high experiences in developing sustainable and clean power with their corporate vision is Global Clean Power Company. Currently, they have nearly 10,000 mega watt of electricity capacity, with operations in many countries such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, India and USA. The company has received an ‘A’ Credit rating from Standard & Poors and an ‘A1’ rating from Moodys. This business collaboration will benefit all three parties, TTCL, KOMOPO and NLD. It will also strongly support TTCL’s Plan in expanding into a high-growth Power and Power Plant business. Currently, TTCL has a record-high backlog of 20,000 million baht and is in process of bidding many projects with combined value of 50,000 million baht, locally and overseas.

Founded in 1985, by Toyo Engineering (JAPAN), a leading Japanese EPC Contractor with 48-year experiences and Italian-Thai Development Plc., one of Thailand’s largest general contractors, Toyo-Thai Corporation Plc. has a registered capital of 480 million baht. Recently, Chiyoda Group, Japan’s 2nd largest EPC contractor has invested and holds 7% shares in TTCL.

TTCL is the only Thai Contractor which has continuously achieved Net profits for over 26 years. With Thailand’s largest engineering team of 850 engineers in all disciplines out of 1,600 of total staff, the company’s track records cover over 190 projects, with combined project value of 60,000 million baht.
