Chef Alfredo Russo invites diners to an unforgettable wine dinner of inspired Michelin Star cuisine paired with exceptional wines from the Ornellaia Winery.

One of the great Super-Tuscan estates, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia was founded in 1981 by Marchese Lodovico Antinori, in what has proved to be one of Italy's most interesting and expressive wine-making areas, the maritime hills of Bolgheri within the greater wine region of Maremma. Maremma is an extremely interesting sub region of Tuscany for food and wine lovers to visit.

Created especially for the occasion, Chef Alfredo’s exquisite 5-course menu will include Salmone al topinambour, salmon with topinambour served with Antonio Caggiano Fiagre 2006 with hints of rich bouquet of black fruits and berries, tobacco and woodsy aromas. The second dish is Insalata di carciofi con salsa brusca, artichokes salad with “brusca” sauce will be served with Le Volte 2009, the hot and sunny 2009 vintage gave a remarkably appealing Le Volte, with rich, intense fruit and spicy notes, and no trace of over-ripeness.

Chef Alfredo’s delightful Risotto al radicchio trevigiano, Risotto with Treviso salad will be paired with Le Serre Nuove 2008, is a supple beauty, a blend of 50% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon with a deep ruby color and gorgeous ripe fruit.

A highlight of the evening will be the succulent Guancia brasata alle castagne, Braised veal cheek with chestnut, that will be perfectly paired with Ornellaia 2005 & 2008, deep ruby red in colour, it has an elegant, complex bouquet with redberry and blackberry fruit supported by underlying hints of tobacco and spice.

The unforgettable evening ends with Millefoglie di semifreddo agli agrumi profumato al finocchio, Fennel seed scented citrus parfait millefeuille followed by coffee and tea.
