Photo Release: AstraZeneca (Thailand) Limited made flood relief donation of 2.3 million baht to the Thai Red Cross Society

Dr Reginald Seeto, Country President of AstraZeneca (Thailand) Ltd. together with Dr Kanokwan Pornprasit, Vice President Medical and Regulatory Affairs Department and Khun Suhunsa Techapanyasin, Business Unit Directors, presented a generous donation of 2.3 million baht to M. R. Priyangsri Wattanakun, Assistant Secretary General and Director of Fundraising Bureau of Thai Red Cross Society, on 23rdMarch 2012 to assist Thai people affected by last year’s flooding. The money will be used in long-term rehabilitation projects.

AstraZeneca (Thailand), through social network of employees around the world has made significant contributions and matching donations on a one-to-one basis to support the recovery effort. AstraZeneca (Thailand) has identified the Thai Red Cross Society as the most effective means of distributing aid where it’s most needed to help and relieve the flood victims.

As the responsible member of Thai society, AstraZeneca (Thailand) feels strongly that it has a responsibility to help the Thai people. Apart from financial donation, in November last year the management team also went to high-water flooded areas to deliver several hundred relief packages to the flood victims, and together with all employees joined hand in cleaning up Thammasat ChalermPrakiat Hospital (Patumthani) on their Big Cleaning Day after flood.
