Rising Star Awards Night 2011 /2012

Mr.Harald Link, President of Thailand Equestrian Federation recently presided over the ‘Equestrian Charity Rising Star Awards Night 2011 / 2012’, the recognition award night presenting to horse riders and rising stars who has marked the achievements of riders from all areas of equestrianism and their dedication to represent the country. Proceeds will be given to the ‘Kamlangjai Project’ or Inspire by Princess PA, initiated by HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha. The event took place at Le Grand Ballroom, Sofitel Sukhumvit.

Roll out the red carpet! to welcome our hero and rider stars and atmosphere was designed with glittering star and sparkling lighting. Guests also enjoyed fine hospitality and great dining experience. The official party started with the opening speech by Harald Link, President of Thailand Equestrian Federation was ‘it is the second year that the federation organizes the recognition night for our horse riders who have made their dedication to the country. We have seen a lot of improvement on horse riding such as more winning medals from various competitions. For this year, our first lady rider Nina Ligon Lamsam is also qualified for the up-coming London Olympic 2012. This will be a good chance for Thai to win the game. Horse lesson will teach us patience, discipline and enforce ground manner especially the graceful personality. During this school closing, we encourage parents to see the fun sport on horse riding for their children. Take them to our horse clubs throughout the nation and let them try to ride the horse. Once they get the chance to be on the horse, they will find out the joys of it and we will eventually have many riders in the near future.’

Highlight of the event included the presentation on horse riding stars in five categories including The Best Dressage to Pakinee Pantapa, The Best Show Jumping to Montakarn Nuanmanee, The Best Polo Player to Caroline Link, The Best Eventing to Nina Ligon Lamsam and The Best Endurance to Wipawan Pawitayalarp. In addition, there are 14 recognition awards presenting to 14 riders who had made their dedication to represent Thailand during the SEA Games 2011 and The Outstanding Horse Rider 2011 to Nina Ligon Lamsam.

Closing the Equestrian Charity Rising Star Award Night with the Best Dress award that went to Pananya Tardthong who has proved that our confident riders can also be a pretty lady.
