Mitsubishi reports sales volume in March grew up more than 200 %

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand reports sales volume in March that hit the highest record with more than 8,000 units contributed by Triton 6,040 units and Pajero Sport 2,538 units while total booking in Bangkok International Motor Show were more than 6,000 units. The company is confident to gain consecutive growth in the second quarter of this year.

Mr. Nobuyuki Murahashi, President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Company Limited (MMTh) reports continuing good market response in Mitsubishi car in March which hit its new highest level with 8,815 units, an increase of 202.3% compared to the same period of last year contributed by Triton 6,040 units, grew by 366 % year on year, followed by Pajero Sport 2,538 units, grew by 165.2%.

Mr. Murahashi expressed about Mitsubishi total sales volume in 1st quarter of this year that MMTh has sold 23,881 units, an increase of 96.8 % compared to the same period of last year and expects that total sales volume in the 2nd quarter will continue to grow up due to the many positive factors especially the new product launching.

MMTh’s President also addresses additionally about Mitsubishi performance in the 33rd Bangkok International Motor Show that “We got a very warm welcome from customers especially for the new Mitsubishi “Mirage” which was just launched officially in March and followed with sales activity at Motor Show. The booking of Mitsubishi vehicle this year is 6,406 units which 4,081 bookings or 63% belong to Mitsubishi Mirage, while Triton was sold 1,098 units, followed by Pajero Sport 974 units, Lancer EX 191 units and Lancer 1.6 Liter 62 units. And according to our on process production, MMTh expects to start delivery the new model to customers at the beginning of May and thereafter”.
