Photo Release: Opening Ceremony of International Congress on Infectious Diseases introduces key forum for Asia’s disease thought leaders

The Opening Ceremony of the 15th International Congress on Infectious Diseases held at Plenary Hall, Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre marked a quarter of a century for this world-leading infectious disease forum.

Some 2,500 physicians, scientists, microbiologists and public health experts from over 100 different countries joined in Bangkok for the first time to discuss the latest advances in the prevention, control and treatment of infectious diseases. Plenary topics at ICID include ‘The Future of Dengue’, ‘Treating Hepatitis B in 2012’ and ‘Finding a Cure for HIV.’
