Its most famous attractions include The Terracotta Warriors of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, an awe inspiring collection of over 7,000 life-sized depictions of cavalry, war horses and chariots buried in an over 25,000 square meter section of the monarch’s mausoleum. The assemblage is so impressive it has become both a World Heritage Site and the 8th Wonder of the World. Other attractions include Xi’an’s Bell Tower and Drum Tower, 36 meters tall from the ground, these structures were historically used to signal time. Among other interesting sites, Famen Temple is a Mahayana Buddhist temple that houses relics of the Sakyamuni Buddha, an over 2,000 year old treasure of the Buddhist community that many journey from afar to pay respects to.
