Led by TICON and TPARK Managing Director, Mr. Virapan Pulges, the employees and volunteers strengthened the coastal environment through the planting programme which lasted more than 4 hours.
“The mangrove belt is one of the essential elements of the coastal environment in the Gulf of Thailand, playing a crucial role in protecting coastal areas from erosion and cleansing the water quality,” said Mr Pulges. “They also play an important role in hosting important species of fish and crustaceans.”
“In response to phenomenal demand from clients, TPARK has expanded its logistics parks in the Chonburi and the Eastern Seaboard area significantly in the last few years, and this was one project where we felt we could contribute to improving the total coastline environment in a meaningful way.”
“It has also been an important project for our employees and their families. The support we received when we announced our plan was very encouraging and shows the greater awareness in the local community of the important role mangroves play in our coastal environments.”
