Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is displaying a lineup of 12 models, a total of 19 automobiles, to meet all customer needs and lifestyles at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show, which takes place from 27 March to 7 April 2013 at Challenger Hall 1-3, Impact Muang Thong Thani. This year’s Honda Pavilion is based on the concept of “The Reflection of Pride”, with luxurious decor to highlight the two models the company most recently launched — the all-new Honda Accord and the Honda Civic Hybrid, along with several special activities only at the event.

According to Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Executive Vice President, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd., “Currently, Honda offers automobiles that fulfill the needs of all groups of customers and support a variety of alternative fuels, and as a result, we have been warmly welcomed by customers. This led to our achievement of setting our highest annual sales record last year. Honda also took the sales leader position for the passenger car market in the last quarter of 2012, and that success has continued into early this year. Honda set the highest-ever monthly sales record in the company’s history during February 2013 with a total of 25,105 Honda cars, representing 37.6% of the entire Thai passenger car market. Honda also was the No. 1 sales leader for accumulated sales for the first two months of this year.”

In 2013, Honda continues to launch new models into the market, starting with the launch of the Honda Civic Hybrid, a new dimension in hybrid technology that integrates the 1.5L

i-VTEC engine with an electric motor to offer higher fuel efficiency. It is the first Honda model that uses the light, high-efficiency lithium-ion battery, and the first hybrid model produced and sold in Thailand to use this battery. It is an ideal solution that meets the growing demand for environmentally-friendly vehicles in Thailand. The new Civic Hybrid is also a great alternative for young adults who are looking for an environmentally-friendly automobile. It is available in two variants including the standard Hybrid at 1,035,000 Baht and the Hybrid Navi model at 1,095,000 Baht. To strengthen customer confidence for people interested in a hybrid vehicle, Honda has offered a special warranty for all Honda hybrid models, extended from five years to ten years on the hybrid battery.

Most recently, Honda introduced the all-new Honda Accord, the ninth generation with an unrivalled elegant design that reflects customers’ tastes and fulfills their desire for the ideal of luxury. It features a wide range of smart driving technologies that deliver responsive performance, enhanced safety all around the vehicle and greater fuel efficiency and E85 compatibility to provide a greener motoring experience. The all-new Accord is the first Honda model in Thailand that features “Earth Dreams” technology in its 2.4 liter engine.

It is available in five variants at price starting from 1,299,000 baht, up to 1,799,000 Baht.

To further highlight the development and design inspirations for these two showcase models at the motor show, the Honda Pavilion has been created under the concept of “The Reflection of Pride”. This reflects attention to details such as the design and perfection in all dimensions of Honda automobiles, to make customers proud to own Honda cars.

The Honda Civic Hybrid and the all-new Accord being showcased are among the total of 12 different models and 19 automobiles that Honda is proudly presenting, including the Brio, Brio Amaze, City, Jazz Hybrid, Civic, CR-V, Freed, Odyssey, STEP Wagon andCR-Z.

Honda is also offering a wide variety of special activities during the motor show. This includes membership applications for the Enjoy Honda Club, a Web site that meets the needs of customer lifestyles in the digital era with a range of special privileges, such as discounts at shops, trendy restaurants, and leading hotels across Thailand. Membership is open to Honda customers as well as interested individuals, who can apply at the Honda Pavilion.

To demonstrate the company’s strong commitment to growing sustainably with Thai society, this year Honda has created a corporate social responsibility zone, which tells the story of all dimensions of Honda’s projects that benefit society. They include the “Honda School Environment Project VII,” honoring H.M. the King for the 14th year; the “Honda Super Idea Contest Year 8”; and humanitarian activities such as the “Honda Khiang Khang Thai Fund”, created to help Thai people immediately in the event of a major natural disaster. Honda also donated for the first time custom-built ambulances and Honda motorcycles converted into Motor-Lances, worth more than 40 million Baht, to the Emergency Medical Institute of Thailand to support their emergency operations. In addition, Honda provided assistance to people affected by flooding in Prachinburi and a cold spell in Kanchanaburi, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai.

Recently, Honda organized the “Honda First Car Safety Drive” program to provide interested first-car drivers, and not only Honda customers, with knowledge of and skills for safe driving. The safe driving training courses will be held in four regions nationwide at no cost. Interested individuals can apply at the Honda Pavilion, or call the 24-hour Honda Call Center on Tel 02 341 7777, or toll free on 1 800 239833 for upcountry calls.

Honda is also opening “Honda KidZania,” an ultra-realistic environment that offers children the opportunity to experience role-playing activities at a replica of a Honda showroom, along with learning about safe driving and traffic discipline. Honda KidZania will open officially on 29 March 2013 on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon department store.

To cater to motor sports fans, Honda will again hold a night racing mega-event, run to international standards and with great musical entertainment and new forms of fun activities, at the end of this year.

Honda is also offering special promotional campaigns for customers who book a new car at the Motor Show, including free first-class insurance, or 0% interest, or a special interest rate or low down payments (Subject to Honda's terms and conditions. Details of the sales promotion vary according to model).

“In addition to continuing to introduce new models, Honda will continuously strengthen our customer service to maximize customer satisfaction and drive strong sales growth.

I would like to again thank our customers for the trust and the support that they always have for Honda. To truly show our appreciation, we will continue to develop high-quality automobiles that meet all customer’s needs, as well as creating socially-beneficial activities to keep on growing sustainably along with Thai society, and to make Honda a company that society wants to exist,” concluded Mr. Pitak.
