On 15 June 2015, Mr. Alexander S, Parry (on the right), General Manager at Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam was the representative of the hotel to receive the gold level (excellent) G-Green Hotel Award at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Bangkok. The award recognizes and promotes hotels that implement eco-friendly best practices according to Thai government standards and strive to reduce their environmental impact. It was given by the Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha (on the left) who presided over an opening ceremony of 2015 World Environment Day under the theme "7 Billion Dreams, One Planet, Consume with Care". The 2015 World Environment Day event was held with the aims to raise awareness in natural resources conservation, promote people's participation in environmental protection, honor role-model individuals and organizations, and publicize the works of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
