Leading Australian Winery, Penfolds recently presented the Penfolds Exclusive Master Class at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. Hosted by Patrick Dowling, Penfolds Winemaking Ambassador – Asia, this program was organized for trade representatives with the objective of educating F&B stakeholders on the Penfolds brand and its wine making philosophy, as well as highlighting differences between its popular Koonunga, Bin series and Luxury ranges.

Participants received an official Penfolds certification from the event following a program which covered production processes and the art of wine making and wine selection. The Master Class comprised familiarization on the following Penfolds brand portfolio mainstream premium wines such as the Penfolds Bin 9 Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Bin 2 Shiraz Mataro 2013, Koonunga Hill 1976 Shiraz Cabernet 2013, and the Koonunga Hill Autumn Riesling 2013.

Patrick Dowling explained, "The Penfolds Exclusive Master Class serves to educate and build awareness among HORECA stakeholders; that is, hotels, restaurants and cafes. Guests attending the event are representative from our retailers in Thailand, and so the event is a valuable platform on which we can grow brand awareness and product knowledge on Penfolds' portfolio of wines. Thailand is an exciting market for Penfolds with a lot of potential for consumer growth, and so we are delighted with the enthusiasm and burgeoning appreciation shown by F&B retailers for these high quality, yet affordable wines."

The Master Class featured an introduction to the Penfolds brand and its 171-year history, the different types of wine it has produced historically, and its commitment to offering great-tasting wines in new markets globally. This was then followed with a wine tasting and presentation, allowing Patrick to explain tasting notes in depth, offering a pleasurable insight into the Penfolds portfolio of quality wines.
