Esso enhances customer experience with the launch of 'Esso Smiles’ loyalty card

Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited ("Esso"), an integrated petroleum and petrochemical company, today introduced 'Esso Smiles,' its first customer loyalty card in Thailand, which comes with substantial benefits and rewards. The 'Esso Smiles' loyalty card provides drivers with the freedom of choice. With every qualifying liter of purchased fuel, they will easily earn points and benefits that suit their lifestyle, including redeemable points with Tesco Lotus and AirAsia BIG.

Speaking at the press event, Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul, Director and Public and Government Affairs Manager, said "As an industry leader in the energy and petrochemical business in Thailand, we are committed to provide the best-in-class products and services to our customers so they will be able to enjoy all of life's journey. Esso knows that today's customers not only look for quality fuels but also superior retail facilities with personalized customer service. That explains why it is our priority to provide station experiences that are fast, friendly, and fulfilling.

"In 2015, we made significant investments to deliver a world-class customer experience. This included upgrades to existing stations nationwide and partnerships with key convenience stores – Tesco Lotus Express and Family Mart, coffee shop operators – Rabika and D'Oro, and fast food chains – McDonald's, KFC, and Burger King to provide additional retailing options for our customers. We also plan to open around 30 more stations by the end of this year," Mongkolnimit concluded.

Mr. Yodpong Sutatham, Director and Retail Sales Manager, said "Esso's retail business successfully captured the strong retail market growth last year. This year, our sales' growth rate is around five to seven percent and the fuel market is expected to grow not less than five percent.

Esso Smiles loyalty card is a simple and flexible point-based program. We offer flexible redemptions that provide the customer with a choice of rewards from highly desirable partners such as Tesco Lotus and AirAsia BIG as well as instant fuels redemption. This level of choice differentiates our loyalty program from those of other retail fuel providers."

Esso customers are welcome to apply for the 'Esso Smiles' loyalty card free of charge at participating Esso stations nationwide starting May 1st, 2016. Customers can transfer points from the 'Esso Smiles' loyalty card to our alliance partners' loyalty programs by contacting the Esso Smiles customer service center at 0 2631 9999.

Esso Thailand will promote the new loyalty program using various media outlets including print, radio, internet, and television.
