The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is teaming up with National Innovation Agency (NIA), Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), Thailand Management Association (TMA), and Expara Thailand to develop an entrepreneurship curriculum by leveraging each organizations' expertise and experience via digital media and "entrepreneurship class" activities. The move aims to reach all target groups of the value chain inclusive of university students, startups, and SMEs, expecting to draw over 30,000 enthusiasts to access to resourceful entrepreneurial knowledge in 2021.

SET Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Sustainable Market Development Division Krisada Sektrakul said SET aims to promote sustainable business operations in all dimensions of capital market industry specifically with commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects. Business competence is a key element toward sustainability. As such, SET continues to focus on encouraging entrepreneurial knowledge, which has been part of the fundamentals of quality growth for the economy and society, in line with our vision 'To Make the Capital Market Work for Everyone'.

To optimize quality contents to cater to these specific target groups, more experts in this field are needed. SET has therefore joined hands through a partnership with four organizations: National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) to empower up-and-coming generation to understand more about running startup business in the Startup Thailand League 2021 project; and Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) to nurture students' learning & skills on startup, innovation, and accounting knowledge for business to shape and sharpen entrepreneurs in the digital age. The other two partners are: Expara Thailand, a specialist in startup incubation, to host educational activities and produce learning materials for early-stage startups; and Thailand Management Association (TMA) to launch an online seminar about digital marketing for SMEs to penetrate and broaden their customer base.

"Over 5 years, there have been 50,000 participants gaining knowledge and experience from SET's unique entrepreneurship classroom. This year, SET expects more than 30,000 people to access extensive and practical pool of knowledge via all online and offline learning channels. This will be instrumental in enhancing potential of Thai businesses, creating more opportunities, and driving Thailand towards sustainable growth," said Krisada.
