KBank works with RESAM to sell pre-owned homes in its portfolio, targeting 8 billion Baht in sales

KASIKORNBANK (KBank) has joined with Thai Real Estate Sales and Marketing Association (RESAM) in adding channels for selling bank-owned secondhand homes via leading real estate brokers. The move will facilitate customers in buying pre-owned properties, while they will also get a discount of up to 50 percent and waiver of property transfer fee for homes purchased by July 31, 2021. The Bank is targeting sales of its pre-owned properties amounting to 8 billion Baht by the end of this year.

Ms. Chalarat Phinitbenchaphol, KBank Executive Vice President, noted that consumers today are increasingly interested in purchasing pre-owned properties including detached homes, duplex homes, townhouses, commercial buildings, condominiums, warehouses and vacant land thanks to their advantages, including location, affordability and value-for-money. Over the past few years, the number of customers seeking to buy KBank's pre-owned homes has been rising. KBank has therefore teamed with RESAM to strengthen its ability to provide clients one-stop services. In 2021, KBank places emphasis on offering services under the "Selective, Value for Money and Complete Solution" concept. This guides our efforts in selecting pre-owned detached houses, townhomes, condominium units, commercial buildings and vacant lands that offer the best value for money along with providing complete service solutions, ranging from assistance for home purchases to loan applications and customers, with the aim of bolstering sales of KBank's pre-owned properties to a target of 8 billion Baht by the end of 2021.

Ms. Arunee Thiemhong, President of RESAM, said that the Association and its members will assist KBank in offering convenient and complete pre-owned home sales service by analyzing locations, offering recommendations on home prices and proposing loans, while also coordinating sale agreements and ownership transfers without charging any additional fee.
