SET, SLF, and KTAM jointly launch AOM YOUNG project to build a savings and investment culture among student loan borrowers for better financial futures

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has joined hands with the Student Loan Fund (SLF) and Krungthai Asset Management PCL (KTAM) to initiate "AOM YOUNG" project to encourage SLF borrowers to start saving and investing regularly in mutual funds. The project is open for participation on June 28, 2021.

SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai said AOM YOUNG project will empower SLF borrowers with the financial knowledge and skill to start saving and investing at an early age. Under AOM YONG, SLF borrowers will start a regular saving and investing plan in mutual funds. Such plan together with the SET online educational program will assist SLF borrowers to enhance their investment knowledge, accumulate their wealth to secure their financial future. This aligns with a SET ongoing commitment to improving the financial literacy level of Thai people.

SLF Manager Chainarong Katchapanan said one of SLF's key missions is to promote financial literacy among loan borrowers, ensuring they can manage their money and make repayments properly.There are 560,000 students nationwide passed the SET and SLF e-Learning program. AOM YOUNG project will help the fund borrowers who gained financial knowledge through e-Learning create their own savings plan effectively.

KTAM Chief Executive Officer Chavinda Hanratanakool said KTAM is pleased to promote financial discipline among the students through AOM YOUNG project by providing them with knowledge and alternatives of mutual funds with low to moderate risks. SLF borrowers can conveniently access KTAM channels with the minimum monthly investment of THB 100 (approx. USD 3.18).
