Visa, the world's leader in digital payments, is partnering with Robinhood, Thailand's homegrown food delivery app, to launch "Khun Dai Lod, Raan Dai Rub," a campaign aimed at supporting consumers and merchants by providing financial rewards for paying with and accepting Visa.

Under the campaign, Visa cardholders using the Robinhood app for the first time and spending at least 300 baht will receive a 50 baht discount code via SMS for their next order. The restaurant will also receive a 50 baht reward when the order is made. A total of 30,000 discount codes will be made available during the campaign which runs from 1 September to 31 October 2021.

Suripong Tantiyanon, Country Manager for Visa Thailand, said: "Small businesses are the backbone of the Thai economy and it's important we support them however we can. Helping consumers and small traders by putting money back in their pockets is the most effective way to sustainably revive the economy. The last year has seen an increase in the number of smaller businesses, such as micro-merchants and individual sellers, gain access to the digital payments ecosystem, while consumers have shown a clear preference for contactless payments, and we hope this campaign is able to give them some payback at a critical time."

Mr. Srihanath Lamsam, Managing Director of Purple Ventures Co., Ltd. and Robinhood app developer and provider said: "Robinhood is well aware of the impact of the current fragile economy. Today, we stand strong as an intermediary assisting merchants, particularly small ones, by staying true to our operating philosophy of not collecting a GP charge or platform usage fees. We aim to cut the costs of doing business and generate fair income so that merchants can survive this difficult period. Partnering with Visa allows us to work together to help small businesses in times of crisis through this campaign. We hope that every order placed as part of this campaign will offer a lifeline for restaurant operators and will encourage them to never give up."

The campaign is the latest initiative from Visa to support small businesses following on from last year's 'Everyone Speaks Visa' campaign, which enabled homegrown online sellers to accept Visa credit, debit, and prepaid cards whether they are selling on social media pages, virtual marketplaces or live chat platforms. Visa is also working with various partners to help smaller businesses in Thailand gain access to digital payments acceptance, keep up with the latest consumer trends, and retool their businesses for success in the long run.
