The first round of the Thailand Super Series 2021 took place at the Chang International Circuit located in Buriram, Thailand, on the 29-31st of October 2021.

After multiple postponements the racing season finally got underway at a sunny Chang International Circuit. During the Official Practice sessions on Friday, Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik was reunited with his #1 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo. Sandy's teammate for the first event was Australian racing driver Philip Massoud, who showed great potential last season in what was his first year racing in the GT3 category. The duo had a productive Friday, fine tuning the setup of their race car.

Saturday morning saw the qualifying sessions, with Philip Massoud taking the wheel in Quali 1, and finishing in a respectable 4th position. Sandy then completed Quali 2 with a 3rd position.

Race 1 took place on Saturday afternoon, with Philip Massoud taking the start. Two cars collided ahead of Massoud into the first corner, having to take avoiding action, the Australian driver was unfortunately clipped by one of the crashed cars, and ended up beached in the gravel trap. The race was red flagged following this incident. Because the incident occured on the first lap, the race was restarted and the #1 Audi was able to restart the race as well. After a hectic first lap, Massoud fought his way up to 2nd place before handing over to Sandy. A safety car just before the pit window meant that the cars with less pit compensation times came out far in the lead. Sandy left the pit in 4th position, and finished the race in the same position.

Race 2 took place at high noon on Sunday, under scorching temperatures. Sandy was behind the wheel for the start, after a hard fought battle maintained his 3rd position into the pit window. Handing over the car to Massoud, who was unfortunately involved in an incident which caused him to lose some positions. The car was undamaged and he finished the race in 5th position. 'It has been a tough beginning to this season. We will work to identify the areas where we can improve, and optimize whatever we can to give us a better chance at the next round.' Explains Sandy.
