Novartis Thailand recognised among HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021 (Thailand Edition)

Novartis (Thailand), one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, has been recognised by HR Asia Awards as one of 'The Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021' for the second consecutive year, after also receiving the award in 2020. Novartis Thailand's focus on reimagining medicine by unleashing the power of its people through building a culture of innovation personal development, teamwork among its 300-strong workforce in Thailand were key factors in attaining the award.

Novartis Thailand is acknowledged for how it treats employees and its corporate citizenship initiatives. A commitment to diversity and inclusion as a standard for how employees are treated, fair and equal employment opportunities and the health and safety of all people related to the company demonstrating a people-first approach has been recognized with this award. The company's commitment to Thailand and the wider community as demonstrated by a number of Corporate Citizenship initiatives, including an Annual Community Partnership Day, has also been recognized.

Novartis Thailand is building a culture that is Unbossed, Inspired and Curious as it aims to attract, develop, and promote a diverse and inclusive workforce of highly talented people. Its flexible approach to how employees work, known as 'Choice with Responsibility' has resulted in giving people more choice about how, when and where they work, as well as the responsibility to keep managers informed and to align with teammates and stakeholders to ensure high-impact collaboration. This has shifted work practices from manager-approved to being manager-informed.

Employee well-being has also played a critical role in supporting Novartis Thailand's ability to execute its strategy and deliver results. To promote well-being during the pandemic Novartis introduced a 'Care Package', providing associates with surgical masks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, alcohol wipes, antigen test kits, and vitamins. Mental health can be an issue during this difficult time, a mindfulness and mental health support program started rolling out for employees and their family members.

In addition, an "Energized for Life Benefits" supports health and wellness expenses, and includes all family members and life partners, regardless of gender.
