Capella Bangkok's General Manager, Mr. John Blanco joined forces with the resort's Guidance Team to announce the first initiative in a long-term partnership with SolarBuddy, a global community dedicated to lighting up the lives of energy-impoverished children. Missioned to create renewable energy-powered lights to help schoolkids study after dusk, Capella Bangkok has donated 50 solar lamps to children at Mae Fah Luang's Learning Centre for Thai Hill Tribes in Baan Pa Kha, Chiang Rai province.

In line with Capella's philosophy of building a strong sense of community for a sustainable future through youth mentorships, the award-winning riverside resort pledged to help youth study and provide future generations with the opportunity to reach their full potential through this gift of clean, sustainable light sources. The solar invention will also eliminate the need for kerosene, resulting in long-term savings for rural families.

Readers keen to show their support and share the joy of clean, safe and reliable lighting with youth can also contribute to Capella's fundraiser at www.capella.life/solarbuddy. All donation will go directly towards purchasing SolarBuddy's sustainable solar lights for the beneficiary communities.
