Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) by the JPC/MNC Banking has recently announced its success as the long-term partner bank that is most trusted by Japanese corporates for more than 60 years, pledging to carry on the mission of being the first call business partner to support multinational corporate customers. In 2022, JPC/MNC Banking will focus on EEC expansion, enhancing the capabilities of ASEAN connectivity, synergizing with MUFG, fostering investments in Thai startups, and working closely with global partner network to grow the business opportunities for customers through the offering of business intelligence, arrangement of business matching events, and development of financial products in which Krungsri has distinguished strength and expertise, in an effort to promote the growth of the business sector and the Thai economy as a whole.

Over the past year, JPC/MNC Banking was successful in providing differentiated products and services to customers through the collaborations of MUFG as follows:

  • Successful issuance of green bonds and loans for Toyota Leasing (Thailand) Company Limited, which is the first-ever deal for Japanese corporate customers in Thailand.
  • Cooperation with MUFG and MUFG Innovation Partners in promoting investments in Thai startups to facilitate business growth and overseas expansion.
  • Continuous arrangement of business matching events for Thai and Japanese corporates as well as corporate customers under MUFG network in ASEAN which accounted for 473 matches in 2021.
  • Cooperation with Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting (MURC) in offering research and consulting services for corporate customers. In particular, JPC/MNC was successful in supporting a corporate customer in construction materials business on their investment in India.
  • Promoting investment in the EEC through the offering of financial solutions and close collaborations with customers of the EEC offices as well as establishing good relationships with the Board of Investment (BOI) and relevant industrial zones, which led to successful investment of a corporate customer from Singapore in the EEC.

With the aspiration to maintain the position of the first call business partner for corporate customers, JPC/MNC Banking revealed the business direction for the year 2022, "For this year, JPC/MNC Banking aims to achieve a 3.4% loan growth and will focus on ASEAN connectivity which is one of Krungsri's key missions.
