This is the second year since these awards have been established in Thailand after it has been initiated in 48 countries around the world in the past 25 years.
The "Best Managed Companies Awards" is a leading business awards program that has been well recognized at the international level and is considered to be one of the most prestigious programs due to its highly credible evaluation process with the most stringent and independent consideration in the evaluation of the quality in business management in various areas, as well as the corporate strategy, the capability and innovation, corporate culture and commitment. Also an important criteria is the supervision and the stability of the company's financial position as compared to the assessment framework applied to over 1,200 of the best-managed private companies worldwide.
JWD's being bestowed with this prestigious award this year reinforces the Company's potential of managing its business as ASEAN region's leading logistics and supply chain specialist. For over four decades since the establishment of the Company in 1979 , it has continuously expanded its businesses both in Thailand and abroad, such as in CLMV countries, Taiwan, etc., to become a business leader in the ASEAN region. The Company offers a wide range of services such as general warehouse, cold storage warehouse, vehicle storage and management, hazardous goods storage and management, cargo transportation, moving services, private storage rooms for rent, etc.
At the same time, the Company's performance has shown strong growth in 2021 with a total revenue of 5,293.3 million baht, an increase of 35 percent from the previous year and a net profit of 571.7 million baht, an increase of 97.1 percent from the previous year. Moreover, the first half of this year showed a total revenue of 2,809.3 million baht, an increase of 15.7 percent from the same period of the previous year and a net profit of 279.7 million baht, an increase of 9.1 percent from the same period of the previous year.
